Funeral prayers for Staff Sergeant Mahudhee held at Islamic Centre
MNDF Staff Sergeant Mohamed Mahdi, an experienced diver who had participated in numerous high-profile missions, passed away while receiving treatment at ADK Hospital after falling ill during a search operation for missing divers in Vaavu Atoll. A large number of people gathered at the Islamic Centre to pay their final respects to the 43-year-old officer, whose funeral prayer was held at the same venue at 10:00 PM on Saturday night.

The funeral prayer for Staff Sergeant Mohamed Mahdi, who passed away during an MNDF search and rescue operation to locate four missing divers in Vaavu Atoll, was held on Saturday night at 10:00 PM.
It has been reported that Mahdi passed away while receiving treatment at ADK Hospital, after his health deteriorated following a diving excursion on Saturday.
Reliable sources have confirmed that the skilled diver had also conducted a dive in the same area the previous day.
Staff Sergeant Mohamed Mahdi, 43, of M. Jambugasdhoshuge, is reported to be a highly skilled and experienced diver who has previously undertaken numerous dives in various rescue missions.
The funeral prayer for Staff Sergeant Mahdi was held at the Islamic Centre. A large number of people were seen visiting the Islamic Centre to pay their final respects since 7:00 PM.
