Nazim removed from two of Parliament's most influential committees
According to the Parliament website, MP Ahmed Zameer of the Machangolhi Medhu constituency has been appointed to the Public Accounts Committee, replacing MP Nazim, while MP Hamad Abdulla of the Fuvahmulah North constituency has been assigned to the Committee on National Security Services. Although these changes have been updated on the official website, they have yet to be formally announced during a parliamentary session.

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and MP for Dhiggaru constituency, Ahmed Nazim, has been removed from the Parliament’s two most influential committees: the Public Accounts Committee and the Committee on National Security Services (241 Committee).
Although no formal announcement has been made regarding the removal of Nazim from the two committees on which he served, the People’s Majlis website indicates that he has been dismissed from both.
Nazim presided over Tuesday's sitting of the People's Majlis. Although changes to committee memberships are typically announced by the chair, no such announcement was made during Tuesday's session.
The People's National Congress (PNC) has appointed Ahmed Zameer, the Member of Parliament for Machangolhi Medhu constituency, to replace Nazim on the Public Accounts Committee. Additionally, the PNC has appointed Hamad Abdulla, the Member of Parliament for Fuvahmulah North constituency, to replace Nazim on the 241 Committee (the Committee on National Security Services).
