According to police statistics for accidents reported in Male’, the Sinamale’ Bridge, and the highway between March 22 and 28, a total of 49 accidents occurred in Male’ alone. Looking at the daily breakdown for the past week, the highest number of incidents was reported on March 25. On that day alone, 13 accidents were recorded.
Accidents reported during this period include 14 collisions between motorcycles and cars, as well as 14 collisions involving two motorcycles. These incidents also include seven cases of hit-and-runs where the parties involved failed to stop at the scene. A total of 56 individuals sustained various degrees of injury in these accidents, with one person reported to be in serious condition.
