The MONIN Cup is a globally recognized platform that showcases creativity and skill within the beverage industry. Following the successful inaugural edition in 2024, this year's national competition is scheduled to take place at Kurumba Maldives.
The primary objective of the tournament is to provide young, talented professionals in the Maldivian tourism sector with international exposure and a platform to enhance their technical expertise. Since its inception in 2014, the MONIN Cup has been held worldwide, specifically designed to foster and inspire a new generation of professionals in the bartending industry.
Regarding the competition structure, the top seven recipes will be shortlisted for the national final, which will be held on 18 May 2026, at Kurumba Maldives. The winner of this event will earn the opportunity to represent the Maldives at the Regional MONIN Cup. Success at the regional level will grant the champion a spot in the MONIN Cup International Final in France, where they will compete against the world's most elite bartenders.
SIMDI Bev has confirmed that it will cover all expenses for the national winner to participate in the regional competition. During the final event at Kurumba Maldives, participants will be evaluated on their creativity, technical proficiency, and presentation by a distinguished panel of judges, including representatives from the MONIN International team and renowned industry experts.
