Ministry instructs Maldivians to obtain visas before traveling to Bangladesh
The ministry has instructed Maldivians planning to visit Bangladesh during this period to obtain the required visas in advance from the High Commission of Bangladesh in the Maldives.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an advisory urging Maldivian citizens traveling to Bangladesh to secure a visa before departure.
According to the ministry, the Government of Bangladesh has temporarily suspended the issuance of visas-on-arrival for all foreign travelers from January 15 to February 15.
This measure is being implemented in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections in Bangladesh, scheduled for February 12.
As a result, the ministry has instructed Maldivians planning to visit Bangladesh during this period to obtain the required visas in advance from the High Commission of Bangladesh in the Maldives.
The High Commission of Bangladesh in the Maldives is located on Nirolhu Magu, Hulhumalé.
