A minor has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that injured a foreigner in Hulhumalé.
Arrested was a 16-year-old boy.
In a message sent to the media, the Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that a 16-year-old boy had been taken into police custody in connection with a violent incident that occurred near Hiyaa Park in Hulhumalé Phase II.
Police highlighted that the victim of the attack was an Indian man, who is currently receiving treatment at Hulhumalé Hospital.
The incident of stabbing a person with a sharp object near Hiyaa Park in Hulhumalé Phase II was reported to the police at around 10:45pm on Tuesday.
Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the case.
