Aisha Nurain Janah of H. Seaside has been appointed as the Chairperson of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board of Maldives (PCB) has revealed that Nurain was appointed to the position on 29 May 2025.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu had appointed Aisha Nurain Janah as the Chairperson of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), the company established to promote and advance tourism in the Maldives, on 27 December 2023. However, Nurain resigned from that position on 21 May 2024.
Nurain is the daughter of the renowned businessman and President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's Trade and Investment Advisor, Mohamed Ali Janah.
Nurain, who has served as a member on various trustee boards in New Zealand, obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Auckland. She is also a Chartered Accountant with 10 years of management experience. Nurain won the "Waitematā Local Board Good Citizen Award" in 2015. She has also founded an organization called "Authenticity NZ" to assist women in need of job training.
