Changes have been made to some senior positions at administrative departments of the Maldives Police Service (MPS).
The police institution revealed that under said changes, new officers have been appointed to senior positions across nine departments of the Maldives Police Service.
As such, the departments that have undergone changes starting from 09 May 2025 include Economic Crime Investigations, Drug Enforcement, Gang Crime Enforcement, Counter Narcotics Operations, Greater Malé Police, Traffic Police, Specialist Tactical Response, as well as Custodial Standards and Development, and Protective Security.
In connection with these changes, Superintendent of Police Abdulla Rasheed has been appointed as the Head of Economic Crime Investigation, while Superintendent of Police Ahmed Muslim has been appointed as the Head of Drug Enforcement.
In addition to this, Superintendent of Police Mohamed Sabah has been appointed as the Head of Gang Crime Investigation, and Chief Inspector of Police Fathih Mohamed has been appointed as the Head of Counter Narcotics Operations.
Further, Superintendent of Police Rajnee Shuaib has been appointed as the Head of Greater Malé Police, Chief Inspector of Police Ibrahim Imran as the Head of Traffic Police, and Superintendent of Police Ishag Adamfulhu as the Head of Specialist Tactical Response.
Chief Inspector of Police Mohamed Shaheem has been appointed as the Head of Custodial Standards and Development, and Superintendent of Police Nahid Hussain has been appointed as the Head of Protective Security.
The Maldives Police Service has made these changes to further strengthen administrative operations and improve the quality of service.
