Young woman found unconscious in Vinares apartment, receiving treatment

A young woman has been found unconscious in a Vinares apartment.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) said that on 28 April 2025, at around 6:05am, they received a report of a woman heard crying inside a Vinares flat in Hulhumalé Phase II. Police officers who attended the scene forcibly opened the door after receiving no response and found the woman unconscious inside.
The police institution said that found unconscious was a 21-year-old woman.
In addition to this, the police institution said the incident was reported to them by the family, and there was no one else in the room with the woman at the time. However, MPS confirmed that family members were present inside the apartment.
MPS went on to reveal that the young woman has been taken to Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment. However, no further details have been shared.
