ACC enters Agriculture Ministry with police assistance

Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has entered the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, employees at the ministry revealed that a team from ACC had entered the ministry on Sunday morning.
The ACC team examined files and records during their raid on the ministry.
The employees at the ministry went on to reveal that they observed some files being taken by the commission.
ACC entered the Agriculture Ministry abruptly, along with a team from the Maldives Police Service (MPS). Employees have said that the nature of the case being investigated, remains unclear.
RaajjeMV was unable to attain a comment from ACC regarding the raid, at the time of publishing.
However, speaking to RaajjeMV, MPS confirmed that they are active at the ministry jointly with ACC, in connection with a case that ACC has initiated an investigation into.
RaajjeMV understands that ACC has entered the Agriculture Ministry in connection with a corruption case that has been ongoing in the ministry since 2018.
