Maldives has confirmed that Sunday is Eid-Al-Fitr.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs held a meeting to observe the moon on Saturday evening.
According to the resolution regarding the sighting of the Shawwal moon, which was announced at a meeting held on Saturday night in the conference hall of the Islamic Center to confirm the sighting of the Shawwal moon, Eid day will be on Sunday, March 30.
As per the procedure to be followed to confirm the sighting of the new moon of Ramadan and Shawwal, March 30 was declared the beginning of Eid, and March 29 as the 29th day of Ramadan.
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a month during which Muslims observe fasting from sunrise to sunset.
