Bank of Maldives (BML) has established a USD ATM at its Addu Hithadhoo branch, introducing Dollar ATM services to the southernmost city.
The country's national bank revealed that the new ATM will provide customers with additional conveniences, including round-the-clock dollar deposits and withdrawals.
In addition to the USD ATM, there are currently two more ATMs installed at the Hithadhoo branch, of which one ATM is dedicated to Self Service Banking services. The second ATM is specifically designated for cash withdrawals.
Speaking at the ATM inauguration ceremony, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said that establishing the USD ATM is a symbol of the bank's commitment to providing services in line with the growing demand for dollar transactions in Addu City.
He stated that with the recent changes made to the Gan branch to prioritize Islamic banking services and the expansion of ATM services, the bank continues to strengthen its presence in Addu City.
With the introduction of dollar services to Addu City, the services provided by BML as the country's largest financial institution will be further enhanced.
With a nationwide banking network comprising 39 branches across 20 atolls, 95 Self-Service Banking Centers, 151 ATMs, agent banking services, and state-of-the-art online banking services, BML aims to support individuals, businesses, and communities throughout the country.
