Member of Maabaidhoo island of Laamu atoll’s council Hassan Zareer has passed away.
Zareer was a council member affiliated with the main ruling People’s National Congress (PNC).
RaajjeMV understands that, Zareer passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening after experiencing chest pain.
Zareer had already passed away by the time he was rushed to the island's health post.
Zareer was 58 years old at the time of his death.
In a post on social media platform Facebook, MP for Isdhoo constituency Ismail Shafeeu said that Zareer was loved by everyone in Maabaidhoo.
