Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim, the Managing Director of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), has been dismissed from his position.

This was revealed in a post made by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) on social media platform ‘X’.

In this post made by PCB on X, it states that Mohamed Wajeeh, who was serving as the MD of MPL, has been dismissed from his position as the company's MD and from his position as a Board Director.

While PCB announced the dismissal of Wajeeh, who was appointed to the position of MD of the company on 28 November 2023, Ibrahim Faisal, the son of Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla who served as the first Tourism Minister of the incumbent administration, was also dismissed from his position last Tuesday.
