An individual has been injured in an assault in the capital Malé City.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Saturday said that a case was reported of an injured person being brought to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) at around 11:40pm on Friday night.
The police institution stated that no one has been arrested in connection with the assault, yet.
Although no additional details have been disclosed regarding the case, the police have confirmed that further investigations are currently underway.
According to the information received, the person was stabbed with a sharp object during the assault that unfolded on Friday night.
However, details of the injuries sustained by the person have not been disclosed by the authorities.
