City and DSC set to clash in semi-final
The semi-final match between City and MNDF will be held on Thursday night.
City's Yanagisawa Kohei won the player of the match
Sports Club City and Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) or the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) are set to clash in the semi-final of the ongoing National Volleyball Tournament.
In the four-team tournament, HDC Club secured a direct spot in the final by finishing first. The semi-final to determine the second finalist will be played between the second and third-placed teams. At the end of the league round, City finished second while DSC came third.
In the last match of the league round on Tuesday evening, City defeated Blues For Volleyball by three sets to one. After Blues won the first set 25-21, City came from behind to win the next three sets. City won the sets 22-25, 16-25, and 24-26. City's foreign player, Yanagisawa Kohei, was named the player of the match.
City and DSC had already met in the league round of the tournament. City won that match in straight sets. The semi-final match between City and MNDF will be held on Thursday night.
