Maldivian team in Budapest sets new national record for medley relay
 
They are to return to the Maldives on Sunday
 
The previous record was set at last year’s South Asian Aquatics Championships after the team completed the 4x100 relay in 05:26 seconds
 
The team completed the relay in 05:07 seconds, beating the national record by almost 20 seconds

The Maldivian team competing the World Aquatics Championships, currently ongoing in Budapest of Hungary, has set a new national record for 4x100 medley relay.

The team, Ismail Mu’uthasim Adnan, Aiminath Shajan, and Aishath Saajina completed the relay in 05:07 seconds, beating the national record by almost 20 seconds.

The team had completed a training camp in Sri Lanka earlier this year before flying to Budapest for the Championships. They are to return on Sunday.

The previous record was set at last year’s South Asian Aquatics Championships after the team completed the 4x100 relay in 05:26 seconds.
