In connection with a gang violence that took place in Holhudhoo island of Noonu atoll, the son of Zakiyya Moosa, who was found dead in the island, has been arrested.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) said that on December 20, a report was filed regarding an assault that occurred during a disturbance on the island that occurred on December 19.
Arrested in connection with the case is Moosa Rimzee, 30.
He was arrested under a court order on December 23.
Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the case.
