Bank of Maldives (BML) has appointed a new Chief Business Officer (CBO).
Moosa Nimal was appointed as the new CBO of the country’s national bank.
Nimal, who has served BML for a long time in various capacities, began his service at the bank in 2003.
Nimal's first position at the bank was as an assistant at the main branch.
During his extensive career, Nimal has gained valuable experience at the country’s national bank. This includes managing important departments and branches of the bank, and gaining experience in areas such as customer service, international banking, and retail banking.
Further, Nimal has played a significant role in many reform initiatives carried out by the bank.
Prior to being appointed as the bank’s CBO, Nimal served in the position of Director of Retail, Business and SME Banking.
Nimal obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Applied Finance from the University of South Australia. He has also achieved the Professional Banker Qualification as an affiliate member of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers.
