Maldives currently has a capacity of 1,253 tourist facilities which include 155 safari vessels, 902 guesthouses, 14 hotels and 182 resorts. This means that of the total facility capacity, 11 resorts have yet to resume operations.

One more tourist accommodation establishment has resumed services to tourists.
This was revealed by the latest daily statistics publicized by the Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday.
As such, the ministry’s figures revealed that as of November 19, the number of operational tourist accommodation facilities across the Maldives sat at 1,242.
The guesthouses span across 116 islands of 19 atolls, with hotels operational in nine islands of eight atolls. 68 percent of the bed capacity is occupied by resorts, followed by 24 percent occupied by guesthouses, five percent by safari vessels and three percent by hotels.
Presently, a total of 62,690 tourist beds are in operation across these facilities, which include 171 resorts, 902 guesthouses, 14 hotels and 155 live-aboard vessels.
This means that one more safari vessel resumed operations over the past week.
The beds operational across these facilities include 42,539 in resorts, 1,956 in hotels, 15,161 in guesthouses and 3,034 in live-aboard vessels.
