The Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened a self-service banking ATM center in Gaafaru island of Kaafu atoll.
In an effort to support the island communities and the national bank’s ongoing efforts to expand its services in outlying atolls in support of island communities, BML opened the center in Gaafaru island on Wednesday.
These centers will support individuals and businesses in depositing and transferring money on a round-the-clock basis, in addition to the general cash withdrawal service.
The center houses a state-of-the-art multi-functional ATM and the bank has been continually investing in efforts to support local communities, BML revealed in a statement.
Presently, Kaafu atoll has two branches in Kaashidhoo and Maafushi islands as well as self-service banking centers in six additional islands.
Aishath Noordeen, the bank’s Deputy CEO and In-charge revealed that the establishment of their new self-service banking ATM center mirrors the bank’s commitment to provide essential banking services to the needs of their wide customer base.
BML remains committed to support individuals, businesses and communities across the nation, boasting a nationwide network of 39 branches across all 20 atolls, 89 self-service banking centers, 144 ATMs, over 200 agents and a full suite of digital banking services.
