Police seek theft suspect

A man is being located in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the suspect is wanted in connection with an ongoing probe at the institution.
Being located in connection with the case is Hassan Shakeeb, 27 and native to Gaadhiffushi island in Thaa atoll.
The publication was issued as the authorities’ efforts to locate the suspect have been to no avail so far.
The court has ordered MPS to locate the man and take him into police custody.
The suspect is accused of snatching a mobile phone on top of the counter of a café in Hulhumalé Phase II on 23 July 2024.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Hulhumalé Phase II Police Station through 9393351 or the police hotline 3322111 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public, for the immense support and assistance received in connection with such cases.
