Sinamalé Bridge accident victim dies

An individual has died after being involved in an accident at the Sinamalé Bridge.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of an accident at the highway intersection at around 06:40am on June 21.
The accident is to have occurred after a motorcycle enroute Hulhumalé from Malé City skidded out of control and the driver crashed into the fences separating the two lanes.
The victim, a Sri Lankan national, was initially rushed to Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment.
However, the victim was later taken to ADK Hospital for further treatment.
The Sri Lankan man was pronounced dead some time on Saturday.
Although no further details have been disclosed, authorities revealed that further investigations are currently underway in connection with the accident.
