No injuries were reported in the fire that broke out in capital Malé City late Sunday.

The incident was reported to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Services at around 12:37am on Monday.

MNDF revealed that a row of motorcycles parked on Meheli Goalhi behind the petrol shed caught fire in the early hours of Monday.

Upon receiving the report, a team of MNDF’s Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the scene shortly after.

Firefighters were able to douse the fire by 12:42am.

MNDF revealed that five motorcycle were damaged beyond use in the fire.
