The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is locating a suspect wanted in connection with case filed at court.
In a publication on Tuesday, the police institution revealed that the suspect is wanted in connection with a case filed at the Criminal Court.
The publication was issued as the authorities’ efforts to locate the suspect and present him before court have been to no avail so far.
The court has ordered MPS to locate the man, take him into police custody and present him before court.
Being located in connection with the case is Izaam Zahir, 25 and native to Vaadhoo island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
He is to be taken into police custody and presented before Criminal Court at 10am on June 12.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public, for the immense support and assistance received in connection with such cases.
