Shifan, Shareef promoted to rank of ACP

Abdulla Shareef and Ahmed Shifan

Chief Superintendent of Police as well as the Police Spokesperson, Ahmed Shifan and Head of Central Policing Command Chief Superintendent of Police Abdulla Shareef have been promoted.

The two officers were promoted to the ranking of Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs).

A ceremony was held at Iskandar Koshi on Friday, to hand over their letters of promotion.

Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan handed over the letters of promotion to the two police officers.

The posts are appointed by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The post of ACP is the highest post that can be promoted administratively.

The post is followed by Deputy Police Commissioner and Police Commissioner.

Shifan previously served as the first Executive Director of the National College of Policing and Law.

Shareef has been serving as the head of Central Policing and Frontline Policing in the Greater Malé Region.

Following the appointments, Acting Deputy Head of Intelligence Superintendent Ismail Shameem and Superintendent Ibrahim Nabeel were promoted to the post of Chief Superintendent.
