The man who was found dead in Maldives’ capital, Malé City on Monday, was the youth reported missing.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the man was found dead inside a house in Maafannu-ward of the congested capital city.
The police institution received reports of a dead body in the ground floor of M. Rabeeu Villa, at around 02:20pm on Monday.
A team of officers was dispatched to the scene shortly after.
MPS has since confirmed that found dead was the 30-year-old man who was reported missing.
Reported missing was Ahmed Aiman, 30 from Boalhakinkirimaage in Mahchangoalhi-ward of the capital.
The building was the scene of an earlier fire and has been left vacant for a while now.
Aiman was reported missing on Monday and the search party to locate him was also launched the same day. He was reported missing after his family was unable to get in touch with him.
