The foreign employee at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo resort nestled in Gaaf Dhaal atoll who went missing late Sunday afternoon, has been found.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Monday revealed that the employee of the resort had kayaked to a resort in Gaaf Alif atoll on Monday morning.
The foreigner was reported missing at around 3:30pm on Sunday, after he set out at sea on a Kayak during adverse weather conditions.
The Raffles employee was located on Monday morning, in good health.
Several incidents are being reported at sea of recent, due to the ongoing squally weather causing strong monsoon activities.
Authorities have urged the public to pay special attention to weather, especially seafarers.
A picture of the kayak on which the man set out, was shared on social media platform ‘X’ as well.
