Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for an individual wanted in connection with a case of fraudulently acquiring money.
The police institution revealed that the case is being investigated by their Hulhumalé Phase II investigation desk.
The manhunt was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
Being located in connection with the probe is Hussain Jazlaan, 28 and registered in capital Malé City.
Police revealed that the suspect is being summoned for questioning regarding the case of fraudulently acquiring money.
Jazlaan is to present himself to the Hulhumalé Phase II Police Station at 3pm on May 17.
