Students sit for exams
The Cambridge O’Levels, IGCSE and SSC examinations have commenced.
Students sat down for Islam examinations on Thursday.
The Ministry of Education revealed that a total of 7,501 students will be taking their O’Levels this year.
Further, 7,133 students will be taking the SSC exams including Dhivehi and Islam subjects.
Exams will proceed through June 13, according to the ministry.
The ministry went on to reveal that the O’Levels and SSC exams will be held across 256 centers.
6,698 students sat the O’Levels of 2023, which means that 803 more students are taking the exams this year.
The ministry has wished all the best for the students taking their exams this year.
This is the highest number of students participating in exams, after 10 long years of attempts.
