Bank of Maldives announces new Chairperson
A new Chairperson has been elected to Bank of Maldives (BML).
In a statement on Monday, the country’s national bank announced that the appointment was confirmed at a meeting BML’s board held after the Bank’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on Monday.
The new Chairperson of BML is Hassan Zareer.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’ following the appointment, BML congratulated their new chairperson.
Further, a new Board Director was also appointed at the EGM.
Ali Faris Mohamed was appointed as a Board Director.
Following these appointments, there are 10 Board Directors in BML’s current board including Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Karl Stumke, Aishath Noordeen, Hassan Zareer, Juwairiya Saeed, Abdulla Hassan, Aishath Sajny, Ali Faris Mohamed, Ibrahim Mohamed, Ahmed Mohamed and Abdulla Naseem.
