Police looking for owner of wad of cash
Two incidents were reported
The cash from two separate incidents were handed over to the Galolhu Police Station and Maafannu Police Station
A public announcement seeking the owner, was made on Sunday

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is seeking the owner of a stack of cash that was found and handed over to the authorities.

The wad of cash amounting to MVR 10,000 was found on Dhon Andharaadha Hingun in Galolhu-ward of the capital Malé City on March 14.

Since it was handed over to the authorities, they have been seeking the owner of it.

The owner of the lost cash has been urged to reach out to them through 9631696 and refer to the incident number; 591082 and visit Galolhu Police Station with national ID card to receive the cash.

Another such incident was reported on March 16, when currency notes amounting to MVR 700 were picked up near a house in Maafannu-ward of the capital and handed over to the police.

The owner of the lost cash has been urged to reach out to them through 9660183 and refer to the incident number; 591291 and visit Maafannu Police Station with national ID card to receive the cash.
