Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has embarked on a campaign tour of Baa atoll.
The advisor of former ruling and now opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) departed from Velana International Airport (VIA) on the campaign tour on Saturday.
Upon arrival at Dharavandhoo Airport, he was accorded a warm welcome by the campaign team.
Solih is undertaking a visit for the former ruling party’s campaign for the upcoming People’s Majlis elections, for the 20th tenure of parliament.
Members of MDP also join the former president on the tour.
MDP has produced the highest number of candidates from a political party, for the upcoming parliamentary polls.
