President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will be participating in the second session of the 'Ahaa' public forum to address public queries, as a guest.

The second session of ‘Ahaa’ which translates to “ask” has been scheduled for Friday.

It will commence at 08:45pm, at Sultan Park.

The first-ever public forum of ministers was held during January.

Organized by the President’s Office in collaboration with the Public Service Media, the forum serves as a platform for the public to engage and pose inquiries relating to public policy.

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham, Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu and Minister of Construction and Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib participated in the first session of the forum and directly answered questions from the public.

A promising public response was received for the first session according to the President’s Office.

PSM has invited the public to ask questions to the president, at the second session.

Participants who wish to ask direct questions during the event will also have the option to do so in addition to sending questions ahead of time.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu earlier announced that his ministers would hold public forums every two months.

The forums carry the purpose of informing and updating the public on the government’s initiatives.

Further, it also aims to provide adequate answers to questions from the public directly.

Muizzu earlier noted that he would hold meetings with the public similarly and hold a forum to address concerns of the people every three months.

These forums are included in the president’s presidential pledges.

They aim to inspire his administration to engage closely with the people and to carry out its responsibilities as transparently as possible.

Broadcasting these forums will help public view the live streams and contribute to the discussions via social media.
