Two individuals linked to a case of fraud, are being located.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the case is being investigated by the Hulhumalé Phase II Police Station. MPS revealed that they are being sought for police interrogation.
Wanted for police interrogation in connection with the ongoing probe into the fraud case are Abdul Gadhir, 54 and native to Feydhoo island of Shaviyani atoll and Fathimath Nashaya, 22 and native to Hithadhoo district of Seenu atoll Addu City.
They are both summoned for questioning regarding the ongoing probe.
They are to present themselves to the Hulhumalé Phase II Police Station at 2pm on 31 January 2024.
The identities of the suspects were publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate them and handover their summons notice has been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track them down.
In a publication made on Thursday, MPS revealed that the summons was publicized in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
MPS took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the generous assistance and support extended in such cases.
