President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to conduct a survey to establish a national registry of senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The President made this decision upon his cabinet’s recommendation, on Sunday.
This decision was made following deliberations on a paper submitted to the Cabinet by the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development.
President Dr. Muizzu made multiple decisions regarding establishing nationwide policies to define development zones and urban areas.
The President decided to identify distinct areas and centers and conduct an in-depth analysis. He made the decision to confer with relevant parties and specify the standards for urban development areas.
The President's Office notes that these centers will be divided into three tiers.
