The government has kicked off regular press conferences of ministries and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) this week at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu in Senako Malam to provide the public with information on the activities of government ministries and other government agencies.

This was revealed by Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office Mohamed Shahyb during a press conference held on Thursday.

Shahyb stated that the first press conference was held on December 25.

The press conference was arranged by the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu in Senako Malam.

The government has revealed that more ministries would organize similar press conferences in the future.

Shahyb added that the President's Office has been holding news conferences to update the public regarding cabinet decisions and these are scheduled to ensure that the public remains informed in the most transparent manner.

Responding to questions from journalists, Shahyb reaffirmed that the administration would not interfere with the judiciary in any manner and would adhere to the Presidential pledges.
