President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated the new Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on his ascension.
President Muizzu sent the message of congratulations to the new Emir of Kuwait on Tuesday.
Extending felicitations on behalf of the people and government of Maldives to the new Emir of Kuwait, the Maldivian leader noted that the enduring ties between the Maldives and Kuwait were built upon mutual trust, respect, and shared Islamic values rooted in cultural and historical links.
Further, President Muizzu highlighted that the island nation “deeply” values the dedicated support and assistance provided by the State of Kuwait to the Maldives, which has played a pivotal role in enhancing the socio-economic objectives of the archipelago nation.
In addition to this, the Maldivian leader went on to express confidence that the new Emir’s wisdom and vision will steer Kuwait towards new heights of development.
President Muizzu noted that he was confident that both countries would witness further solidification of the close bonds of friendship and cooperation in all spheres of engagement.
