Three critically injured after motorcycles crash in Malé City

Three individuals are receiving treatment for critical injuries attained in a road accident that occurred in Maldives congested capital, Malé City.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, a media official at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) revealed that three individuals were rushed to the hospital and are being treated at the red zone, after the dangerous crash that took place on Boduthakurufaanu Road in the capital.

Injured in the collision were a 19-year-old man, a 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of a road accident at around 11:26pm on Wednesday.

The accident took place near Villa College after two motorcycles crashed.

Both vehicles were left damaged on impact.

Further investigations are currently underway.

Of recent, the number of fatal road accidents occurring in the city has been spiraling. A recent road accident in Hulhumalé last week, killed a man and critically injured a woman.
