The President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities of the Republic of Türkiye Abdullah Eren has paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities called on the Maldivian leader at the Presidential Guesthouse in Türkiye on Monday, as part of the latter’s ongoing official trip to Turkey.
Welcoming the Maldivian leader to Turkey, Eren congratulated him on assuming his responsibilities as the eighth president of Maldives.
Discussions at the meeting revolved around enhancing cooperation between the Maldives and Türkiye, especially in the fields of education and social culture.
Further, they engaged in discussions regarding potential scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students.
They also shed light on the importance of advancing vocational training within the tourism sector.
The meeting saw discussions touching upon the need for training Maldivians in areas such as national defence, health as well as medicine.
They also held extensive discussions on expanding enrollments in specialized training programs tailored for mid-career professionals.
President Muizzu is undertaking an official visit to Turkey at the invitation of the President of Turkey. He is joined by his spouse, First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level delegation of senior government officials.
