Police locating two accused of using counterfeit USD notes

Two men are being located under accusations of using counterfeit USD notes.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) launched the manhunt for the two individuals on Tuesday.
Publicizing avideo footage, MPS revealed that the two individuals seen in the video are being sought in connection with a case being investigated by the Economic Offences Department MPS in connection with accusations of doing business in a shop with the use of counterfeit USD notes.
The publication was made after police efforts to locate the two men seen in the video were to no avail as they were unable to identify the suspects.
The police institution has urged the public to reach out to their hotline 3322111 or their Economic Crime Department through 9790048 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects seen in the video, is attained.
The police institution also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for their generous assistance and support extended in such cases.
