A flight from Maldivian at Velana International Airport
The safe in Aviation Security Command in Velana International Airport has been stolen.
Police media official had confirmed to RaajjeMV that the safe was stolen from the high security zone in the airport.
The media official also reported the case was filed on Friday but refused to divulge more details. The official added that the case was under investigation and that no arrests had been made.
RaajjeMV understands that at that time the safe contained over MVR 200,000 and the theft occurred on Thursday night.
