The site for the shore protection and jetty construction project in Maalhendhoo island of Noonu atoll, has been mobilized.
This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Tuesday.
As such, taking to Twitter to provide the latest updates of the Maalhendhoo shore protection and jetty construction project to the public, MTCC revealed that they mobilized the project site on September 8.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct dredging operations for the harbor basin, in an area measuring 9,735 cubic meters.
The company will also be constructing a groyne measuring 73 meters and a 386-meter revetment.
In addition to this, the construction of a geobag revetment measuring 175 meters, a quay wall measuring 47 meters and a bridge measuring 30 meters by four meters also come under the scope of the project.
The project also entails the construction of a 928-square-meter pavement and a jetty.
Further, harbor lights and mooring buoys will also be installed as per the contract.
The Maalhendhoo shore protection and jetty construction project is valued at MVR 32.34 million.
