President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has officially inaugurated the new football ground in Maafaru Island of Noonu Atoll.
The inauguration took place during the President's tour of the atoll.
The newly inaugurated football ground in Maafaru Island, layered with turf, boasts state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. Nexta Maldives Pvt. Ltd. laid the subbase layer of the football ground, while Myna Sports Field Pvt. Ltd. was responsible for installing the turf. These enhancements will provide an improved playing experience for athletes and sports enthusiasts on the island.
This event marks a significant milestone in developing sports infrastructure on Maafaru Island.
The administration has implemented a number of initiatives to provide modern football grounds, futsal fields, and sports courts across the atolls. These efforts aim to promote healthy and active lifestyles among young people and foster local athletic talent development.
