Police confiscate large stash of alcohol and beer from B. Eydhafushi

A large stash of alcohol and beer has been confiscated from Eydhafushi island in Baa atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that bottles of alcohol and cans of beer were confiscated during an operation carried out on the island earlier this week.
As such, the operation was conducted following an intel report that alcohol and beer were being stored inside a storage facility on the island.
Police officers stationed in Eydhafushi island raided the godown on July 3.
Officers that raided the godown found five bottles of alcohol and 43 cans of beer stashed inside the storage.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case so far.
The Eydhafushi Police Station is currently conducting further investigations in connection with the case.
