Police seek witnesses of accident near bridge highway seaplane terminal

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is seeking anyone who witnessed an accident that took place on the bridge highway.
According to the police institution, the accident took place near the seaplane terminal region on the Malé - Hulhumalé lane of the bridge highway.
The police institution is looking for anyone who witnessed the accident, as part of their ongoing investigation.
The accident, reported at around 2:54pm on June 7, occurred after a motorcycle crashed into a van that was attempting to overtake a parked car near the seaplane terminal region of the bridge highway.
A 19-year-old woman was injured in the collision. She has since been taken to the Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment to the injuries she attained in the crash.
MPS has urged the public to reach out to their Galolhu Police Investigation unit through 9631696 if anyone witnessed the accident.
The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the generous support and assistance extended in such cases.
