The Maldives and Slovenia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding Political Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries.
The MoU was signed at a ceremony held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Thursday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed that the MoU aims to enhance and expand bilateral relations and cooperation between the Maldives and Slovenia.
Furthermore, the Ministry notes that this will facilitate the holding of regular consultations between the two countries at all levels on bilateral relations and international issues of mutual interest.
The Maldivian Foreign Ministry noted that the signing of the MoU demonstrates the shared commitment of the Maldives and Slovenia to enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Hussain Niyaaz, Secretary of Economic Cooperation, on behalf of the Government of Maldives, and Mateja Norčić Štamcar, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, on behalf of the Republic of Slovenia.
