A man has been killed in a speedboat accident near Feydhoo finolhu in Kaafu atoll.
The accident is to have taken place on Saturday evening.
RaajjeMV understands that killed in the sea accident after two speedboats collided, was businessman Saudhulla Ahmed.
Saudhulla passed away while receiving treatment for injuries attained in the collision, at ADK Hospital.
He died aged 53.
Born in Kudarikilu island of Baa atoll, Saudhulla was the Managing Director of a construction company based in the Maldives capital.
Saudhulla held top positions at Amin Construction and Rainbow Enterprises as well.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of the collision at around 04:42pm on Saturday.
Further investigations into the accident are currently underway.
