12 individuals have applied for the position of a Criminal Court judge.
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) announced the names of the 12 individuals who applied for the position by the time the deadline approached, on Tuesday.
As such, the 12 individuals who applied for the position are:
- Ummu Kulsoom Aboobakuru, native to Hithaadhoo island of Baa atoll
- Liushad Abdul Sattar, native to Nolhivaran island of Haa Dhaal atoll
- Hammadh Naseem Ali, native to Fiyoaree island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll
- Mohamed Minhaj, native to Feydhoo island of Seenu atoll
- Fathmath Nabaha, native to Fiyoaree island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll
- Aishath Nuzuha, native to Fuvahmulah City
- Aishath Niha, native to Vaikaradhoo island of Haa Dhaal atoll
- Abdul Muhsin Abdul Hakeem, native to Nilandhoo island of Gaaf Alif atoll
- Fathmath Saaed, native to Feydhoo island in Seenu atoll
- Hassan Shamaam, native to Ihavandhoo island in Haa Alif atoll
- Ahmed Naufal, native to Malé City
- Ali Naseer, native to Kihaadhoo island in Baa atoll
A judge at the Criminal Court gets a monthly salary of MVR 48,300.
The vacant post of a Criminal Court judge was opened after the court’s Chief Judge Ahmed Shakeel was appointed to the High Court.
