Man arrested for breaking into office, stealing over MVR 700,000

An individual has been arrested for breaking into an office and stealing a hefty amount of cash.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the case was submitted to them on March 23.
A 43-year-old Maldivian man was arrested in connection with the break-in and theft on Tuesday.
The break-in was reported from an office located on the first floor of a building in Henveiru-ward of the congested capital, Malé City.
Police officers recovered more than MVR 500,000 in cash, during a raid at the suspect’s residence, after he was arrested.
The police Serious and Organized Crime Department is currently investigating the case further.
